About Us
A Korean language school, growing into a Culture Center.
Han Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Bentonville, Arkansas, incorporated in August 2026. We started as a Korean language school (한글학교) rooted in our church community, Arkansas Korean Baptist Church, teaching Sunday classes to Korean-American families in the area.
As demand grew, so did our vision. Today, Han Academy is open to people of every age and every background who want to learn the Korean language and connect with Korean culture — not just families with Korean heritage. Our founding program, the Sunday Korean Language School, is now enrolling for the Spring 2027 semester, beginning in January.
From here, we're building toward a full Korean Culture Center: a place for language, festivals, and community, open to all of Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas.

Our Vision
A three-phase journey.

Sunday Korean Language School
한글학교
Han Academy began as a Korean language school rooted in our church community in Bentonville. Sunday classes are open to students of every age and background, not only Korean-American families. The Spring 2027 semester runs 16 weeks, January 10 through May 9, 2027 (no class May 2).

Cultural Programming
문화 프로그램
As the language school grows, we’re building community-wide cultural programming — starting with festivals like Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) and Lunar New Year — so the wider Bentonville community can experience Korean culture together.

A Dedicated Culture Center
한국 문화 센터
Our long-term vision is a dedicated Korean Culture Center facility: a permanent home for language classes, cultural programming, and community events, serving all of Northwest Arkansas.
Han Academy is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 43-2133724). Tuition, donations, and sponsorships go directly toward supporting our programs — the Sunday Korean Language School, cultural events, and our long-term goal of a dedicated Korean Culture Center for Northwest Arkansas. Donations may be tax-deductible; consult your tax advisor. Tuition payments are generally not tax-deductible, as they are payment for a service.
